Barbara's achievements include executive leadership role at the Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers (SMPTE) and the Hollywood Professional Association (HPA), two prominent industry associations. Previous roles include business development and product management functions at the IEEE. Presently, she serves on the board and chairs a working group of the Greening of Streaming industry initiative and is engaged with Compton and Co. She is a member of the International Society of Sustainability Professionals (ISSP), SMPTE, and the HPA.

Her distinguished leadership has earned her recognition from Washington & Jefferson College, the IEEE, and StudioDaily50. In 2020, Barbara was selected as TVNewscheck's Woman in Technology Award honoree. In 2021, TVB Europe designated her as a Technology Leader to Watch, while Broadcast & Cable honored her with its Tech Leadership Award. Barbara holds Bachelor of Arts degrees in Chemistry and German, along with certificates from the Entrepreneurial Growth Lab of the Women’s Enterprise Development Center, Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Management’s Executive Management Program, and NYU School of Continuing Development. She holds both US and EU passports and is proficient in German.

Andy started working for the BBC in 1978 becoming a video-tape editor in 1985 where he worked on many comedy, children’s and documentary series. Moving to a new technology department he, worked on introducing non-linear editing, stereo, widescreen, the BBC’s first HD programme Planet Earth I and the first UHD programme, Planet Earth II.

Andy has been a Rapporteur for ITU Working Party 6C investigating the use of 3DTV, the Global Broadcasting Platform and image quality. He is a Co-Chair of the joint group on Accessibility and has chaired several Rapporteur Groups including the group that developed the HDR Recommendation until 2015 when he became chair of Working Party 6C itself. As chair, he initiated new areas of study on Advanced Immersive Sensory Media Systems, Artificial Intelligence and Energy Aware Broadcasting as applied to content production and international programme exchange. In WP 6B, Andy led the group formalizing the use of componentized content creation that led to a new Recommendation.

Andy left the BBC at the end of 2020 but is still leading standards work in the ITU and EBU. He is also an active member of SMPTE, becoming a Fellow in 2014 for work relating to standards.

Andy is an experienced senior technology and operations leader most recently responsible for BT Sport's broadcast infrastructure, operations, roadmap and innovation strategy. Andy joined the innovative and disruptive British broadcaster at the beginning of its journey in 2012 to oversee the technology and construction of the landmark BT Sport Production Hub in the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. He played a pivotal role in the development and launch of Europe’s first commercial live sports Ultra HD channel "BT Sport Ultra HD", and its HDR successor: BT Sport Ultimate. He led BT Sport’s pioneering Dolby Atmos launch and ground breaking advances in live VR 360 and immersive video. Additionally he delivered world firsts in 8K HDR TV, 8K VR, 5G remote production and pioneered sustainable cloud production. Previously he was Head of Engineering for Sports Media House, Octagon, and before that delivered projects worldwide for respected system integrator IPK. Andy is co-founder of Rise Academy, an award winning STEM schools programme that aims to inspire the next generation of broadcast engineers and is a Non Executive Director of inclusion advocacy group Rise. Andy is a SMPTE Fellow and IABM Technology Leader of the Year.

Sarah Walkley is Senior Sustainability Writer at sustainability strategy and communications agency Context Europe. She has over 25 years of professional writing and editing experience across multiple formats and has written for a broad range of audiences from business and government to academics and consumers. She is a former member of the Executive Leadership team at Autovista Group where she headed up development of the group’s sustainability strategy. Sarah is an expert on reporting frameworks and requirements, including CSRD. You can read her recent overview of the 2023 sustainability landscape, covering CSRD and more, here. She holds a Master’s with Distinction in Sustainability Leadership from the Cambridge Institute of Sustainability Leadership, part of the University of Cambridge.

Cedric Lejeune started in 2000 as a visual effects assistant on Discreet Smoke, working on TribalX, a complex full CG/MoCap production for children and managing the network infrastructure in a small post-production facility. In 2000 he becomes an application engineer for Post Logic, a French VFX system reseller and supports a wide range of products for CG animation, infrastructure, effects, colour grading. He was in charge of the implementation of the first industrial digital intermediate pipeline at Éclair Laboratoires in 2002 and different setups in Paris and Europe. In 2006 he starts his first company, Workflowers, to develop consulting and training services, accompanying film labs in the transition to digital and helping post-production to step into the cinema world. He specializes in digital cinema and video workflows, infrastructures and colour science. He managed the setup of early ACES color pipelines in Digital Cinema and Visual Effects facilities. His early works on online collaborative environment and content management tools have made him an expert of cloud technologies for media. Workflowers’ image processing tools are used by major studios in the world. In 2015 he joins the European cinema group Ymagis to supervise the technology for post-production and mastering labs in the group (New York, London, Liège, Berlin, Barcelona, Paris). The integration of Eclair Laboratoires extends the delivery of content to broadcasters and OTT and gives an opportunity to develop a century old brand as an innovative one. He then assembled the technology and innovation team to create more efficient and global workflows across the group. He led the development of EclairColor, the HDR solution for cinema (www.eclaircolor.com). In 2020, while continuing R&D efforts for EclairColor and developing HDR and HFR image technologies for the Chinese market, he reboots Workflowers to help media industries in their transition to a more sustainable model. With his team of media engineers, he helps studios in building and implementing organization and technical strategies with sustainability in mind. In 2023 he starts HOLLI, a consulting company helping media organizations integrate new business paradigms, with a data centric approach to boost efficiency and reduce energy consumption and carbon emissions. With the sustainable Innovation program, HOLLI articulates the sustainability goals with innovation, including new production techniques such as Virtual Production, Remote Production, Cloud and AI. Cedric is a member of Commission Supérieure Technique (CST), Visual Effects Society (VES), Society of Motion Pictures Technicians and Engineers (SMPTE) and Hollywood Professionals Association (HPA). He Is a member of the EBU Sustainability group, the SMPTE Cloud Sustainability working group and a founding member of La Cartouch’Verte, an association to promote good environmental practices in animation movies production.
